Let your conversation be always full of grace…so that you may knowhow to answer everyone. (Colossians 4:6

A A popular broadcaster, who was losing his battle with cancer wrote, “It has been my sincere privilege to serve this wonderful community, which has given me so much in return. The Lord has blessed my life in every possible way. He has given me my wife of 19 years, my three splendid children, and more friends than a man should be allowed to have. I am overwhelmed by the kind regards so many of you have sent. Truly, my cup runneth over. Never forget that, with Jesus, the best is yet to come.”  Each and every day, we are to yield ourselves fully to Jesus, so that we may live wisely and respond graciously to others about the One who gives us the assurance of eternal life.

“Lord, help me to be a shining light so that your grace may forever shine.”

A Christ like life can be a message of hope to a searching world.

Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:26)
Some say that life is like the flickering flame of a candle. When the flame is snuffed out, the light is gone forever.  They believe that when we breathe our last breath, we are totally extinguished – as if we had never been!  Life is not a brief candle flame that death will forever extinguish.  Christians in particular can rejoice that Christ, “destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel”, that He is “the resurrection and the life”, and that all who believe in Him “shall never die.”  Because of God’s power and grace exhibited at Calvary, we will receive bodies like Jesus’ resurrection body, and we “shall shine like the stars forever.  Praise God!  We are not flickering candles, but shining stars!

“Lord, help me focus on heaven, my eternal home.”

Because Jesus lives, we too will live.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. (John 1:14)

There are scientists who after spending millions on research to make contact with extraterrestrial beings who they feel are superior to us, not only technically, but perhaps spiritually and morally.  It is sad to see that they search in the wrong places for what god has already provided in Christ!  The Bible says there is “one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men.”  Jesus has revealed God to us and opened the door to life eternal.

“Lord, thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to give us life.”

To get a clear view of God, focus on Jesus Christ.
